Photos really are amazing things. Being able to capture just about anything be it landscapes, portraits, animals, weddings, etc. I've realized over the past few years that doing photography is just one of those things that makes me happy; it's one of the many things i have a passion for. To take a photo of something beautiful and to preserve that memory for years to come.

I haven't had the time lately to go out and get any photos lately, and that makes me kinda sad. And I really do want to get back into the habit and practice of doing so. Especially now.

One of my close friends from high school is getting married this summer and she asked me if I would do the photography. What an honor! Of course I'll do the photography for her wedding! This really is an amazing opportunity. How often would one of your best friends come up to you and say they want you to do that? Not many I'm sure. They would really have to trust you and your photography skills.

So for now, since I have until I believe August, I'm going to be doing quite a bit of wedding and portrait photography research. That and going on random shoots to get back in the habit of taking great photos.

I guess the only thing I'm concerned about is that I wish I had a better camera. I really would love to have my very own digital SLR camera. Either a Nikon or a Canon, since having worked with those ones before I feel comfortable with. Mom told me I could use her camera, but it's not an SLR and it doesn't have the greatest telephoto lens. It's still a great camera though. It's a Konica Minolta.
I want to be able to take amazing photos for my friend Kili's wedding. She really deserves it.
I just wish I could afford my own camera (that's an SLR). I know there are quite a few deals out there right now. Still though, they're too expensive for me.

I haven't found a good Canon with this kind of lens for this good of a deal. This really is my dream camera. I just hope that someday I can afford it.
